TERIYAKI BOYZ
just to prove that the ill-electronic-hiphop-movement we consider ourselves part of, is a totally global phenomena, let's introduce you to the TERIYAKI BOYZ.
they just released their first album BEEF OR CHICKEN on DEF JAM.
they are from tokyo and you should already know their dj:
it's NIGO, the mastermind behind A BATHING APE.
DAFT PUNK are fans, too and so they produced one of the new TB tracks.
have a look at the HEARTBREAK video. and say something nice in japanese.

woah - although japanese is not exactly the kind of language that fits the hiphop attitude its just too polite.
and it sounds like dem boys are just entering highschool having a quarell about the lengths of their teddybears...
well but production´s hot - how did my beloved AD get to hear about them after all?

gosh, i was just watching the video one more time and it's so so funny, err, or let's better say "different".
and don't you think that their cartoon characters on the walls look disturbingly similar to pharrel's skateboard p thingy? strange but strange alright.
