ROCKY HORROR HOLOCAUST SHOW
i visited the HOLOCAUST monument in berlin today.
at first it looked ridiculously friendly in the golden sunlight with
legions of tourists surrounding and intruding it, using the bench-like stones for sitting or sunbathing or even for posing for holiday pictures by standing right on them before the witless idiots got scared away by serious looking security personnel.
when i entered the field of silent monoliths myself i forgot about blue skies and silly tourists immediately: the place is intimidating enough to leave you alienated and appropriately horrified at least for a little while before you'll get caught by it's architectural beauty and fascinating serial dissymetrie.
so i had to do what everybody does: take some pics.
(with my mobile phone camera btw so pls excuse)

very, very nice pictures, even or because of the "bad" camera,
i quiet like the fact, that people can sit there around having sun or food, they hopefully feel like you, when they realy enter the monument...
try it during the nighttime!

nachts um drei da durch zu laufen hat noch eine ganz andere wirkung. war meien erste begnung mit dem denkmal und aufgrund des spontanen "besuchs" auch keine intensive "begegnung". sollte ich vielleicht mal nachholen.
