due to the ugly weather the complete lay-out of the night
has been changed. there will be sort of a problem to fit
all artists under one roof so be prepared for less content
but still high quality music.
i really hope that my tiny lil' dj slot will maintain.
if not i will just bump my hips as usual...

this was a slight desaster.
a very small amount of people in a really spacious hall. i was sitting on my case most of the night
talking to nice guys (yo f., h., j., t.!) and hoping the door would break open with hundreds of urban fans surging into the venue who just did not found their way yet. did not happen. the atmosphere of an abandoned truck stop somewhere in the mojave desert did not really help the artists making their shows lively and energetic. at least they've tried. my slot would have been right at the end so i made my way home about 3.30. evidently there wouldn't have been anybody left to play for, so why stay?
urban+clubs makes a perfect match - urban+halls does not work yet. probably never will.
(plus it was raining cats&dogs and other tiny furry things - but i'm tired to blame weak numbers
on the weather really)
